Let’s talk truck!!! We devoted chunks of time in Fort Worth searching for a pot of gold, for a sweet waste oil find. No discoveries yet, though we did learn that the chain “Pei Wei Asian Diner” has a secret dungeon where the oil is mysteriously dropped and later extracted by what sounded like a super futuristic machine, possibly the Terminator’s only source of work nowadays. I did say “I’ll be back” to the lady since the menu looked pretty good.

Anyhow, after missing a turn, we ended up in a neighboring town with lots of Vietnamese markets and restaurants. Some poking around and snooping led us to a barrel of sweet egg roll smelling golden grease. We found enough to fill the tank AND fill our reserve buckets. It was dark and late, and we felt pretty shady looking, so we went the following day to inquire about taking it all. The folks were so nice at this place- they let us have the oil, and the gentleman who worked there even chatted with us for a bit as we worked. Then he went inside before we left, and he brought us out a bag filled to the top with fresh egg rolls!! After closing up our operation, it’s true, we did high five in mid air. We must give the place props, so check it out if you are around and would like their beloved egg rolls.
