It only seems appropriate that we mention the all vegan diner where Angie was working. A description from a review was posted on the wall that named it “the best veg restaurant in north America”! We tried a range of menu items from amazing nachos with (cashew based) cheese to the Jamaican Jerk BBQ sandwich with tempeh. They even had agave based sodas instead of Coke (a company we should all probably learn a bit more about). Other dishes we enjoyed included the taco platter, a penne with creamy lemon sauce and veggies, the “Philly cheesestake” (made Texas style with BBQ sauce), a VLT with a side of awesome potato salad and freshly made tiramisu.
You may have noticed that we enjoy food. This place is a must stop for any travelers coming through the area.
You can find The Spiral Diner at: 1819 Magnolia Drive, Fort Worth, Texas or on the web at: www.thespiraldiner.com
PS – Also, if you come this way, check out “Town Talk.” It’s a huge market with recently expired type items (like two for a dollar fancy dark chocolate bars best sold by yesterday) and other grocery items way marked down. Super place for folks who are on a tight budget, love a bargain, or for anyone who just loves chocolate!
Town Talk is located at: 21 North Beach St., Fort Worth, TX or on the web at: www.towntalkfoods.net
