We are Jon & Amy and this blog is about us and our journey we are about to go on. We have been married for about 2 and a half years now and have already shared a few great travel experiences since we’ve met. We are now ready to embark on yet another great adventure. We have purchased a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban and are about to convert it to run on waste vegetable oil… But that’s not all… this blog will not only take you thu the process of converting, but you will also join us as we set out to travel across the states.
Our mission & goals of the (wvo) conversion, trip, and blog are:
1. Educate ourselves and others about the use of alternative fuel sources.
2. Learn specifically more about the waste vegetable oil conversion process.
3. (Re) use as much waste vegetable oil to power our vehicle on our trip. this will allow us to travel cheap and to reuse oil that will most likely be discarded.
4. Live on the road cheaply and economically while maintaining a healthy and vegetarian lifestyle.
5. To have a truly spiritual experience and become closer to the land the the people that live here with us.
6. To share our experiences and knowledge we gain from this trip with you, the people of this great planet.
7. LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL

how has it been finding oil along your route? have you had positive experiences with couch surfing?
i would love to email you when we think of some other questions.

Thanks for starting this blog. I’ll be interested to see how it goes for you. I’m a road trip nut myself, but have never taken a trip using alternative fuels. Maybe it’s won’t be too long….
