Let’s get together and live all right…

Our great friend Chris Kleinberg was interviewed by the Philadelphia Metro newspaper this week about his communal home in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. I thought it would be appropriate to share this article with you because, not only did Chris tour the country in a veggie powered bus (like us) with his band MewithoutYou, but he and his wonderful wife live in this great communal home (again just like us). San Francisco – MewithoutYou

This wouldn’t be our first time seeing MewithoutYou perform, and this definitely wouldn’t be our first time seeing them play at a venue so far from our home (we once crossed paths and saw them play in Munich, Germany, and another time by luck in Omaha, NE). The deal is that MWY tour a lot, and when we travel, coincidentally, we happen to be in or near the same cities. It just so happened that the band has been touring to support their newest album, “It’s All Crazy! It’s All False! It’s All A Dream! It’s Alright” (which is awesome), and we were both heading into California around the same time. We have been friends with these guys since our high school days, and have been so happy for all of their success with the band over the past few years. Aaron and the band have also been somewhat of the inspiration for us to travel using WVO (waste vegetable oil) as they do the same in their tour bus.

MewithoutYou… our great friends and fellow grease travelers have released a new video from their fourth album, “it’s all crazy! it’s all false! it’s all a dream! it’s alright.” The video for “the Fox, the Crow and the Cookie” is playing exclusively now at Entertainment Weekly. (Our other wonderful friend) Amy Carrigan co-directed and co-produced the music video with puppets along with David Bell as co-director and Josh Bender and co-producer/DP. mewithoutYOU

mewithoutYOU is a great band from Philadelphia. Amy and I have been good friends with these guys since high school. They have been touring in a bus that runs on waste vegetable oil and have been partially responsible to inspire us to do the same. Aaron and the rest of the crew have been at this a while now and have become very knowledgeable in the world of grease. Hopefully we can meet up with the guys this summer when they tour to support their upcoming release.
